Everyone is at some risk of developing heart disease, stroke, diabetes, kidney disease and some forms of dementia. An NHS Health Check aims to help you lower your risk of developing these common but often preventable diseases. From April 2013, responsibility for the NHS Health Check programme moved to our local authority Hillingdon, which invites anyone who is eligible to have a check over a five-year rolling cycle. That means everyone aged between 40 and 74 who hasn’t already been diagnosed with any of the conditions mentioned above will be invited for an NHS Health Check at certain locations including our pharmacy. The check is offered at Ruislip Manor Pharmacy they may also be offered at other suitable and accessible locations in the community we work closely to promote public health programme in some local libraries for instance.
